It was a time when women did what was necessary to care for their family. they lovingly stitched scraps together into quilts to provide warmth and a bit of splendor in the midst of deprivation. The Kansas City Star published the majority of their pattern collection during the 1930's. Carolyn Cullinan McCormick chose twenty of the old patterns and made them into paper pieced patterns for today's quilter. Soft Cover, 122 pages.
